Chapel of the AnnunciationAbout Church House (top)

Episcopal Church House was constructed in 1913 to be the family residence of the diocesan bishop. It was built in Indiana limestone in the Tudor style to harmonize with the Cathedral.

In the 1950s, the bishop moved to a private house, and Episcopal Church House was donated to house the offices of the bishops and diocesan staff, a function it continues today.

Within Church House is the Chapel of the Annunciation. The windows in the chapel commemorate 20 women who have made major contributions to the Christian tradition.

Today, Church House is home to the office of the diocesan bishop, assisting bishop and the diocesan staff. For information about the staff including photos and job descriptions, visit the staff directory.
