The diocese’s annual convention will be held at Washington National Cathedral on January 30-31. The Rt. Rev. Trevor Mwamba, Bishop of Botswana will preach at the Friday night Eucharist. Internationally renowned evangelist Brian McLaren will give the keynote address on Saturday morning.

At 3 p.m. on January 24, St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church will host “MLK & Our Century”, a multifaceted tribute to the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., featuring discussion moderator Michael Mack (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Something the Lord Made) and a panel of well-known artists, activists, politicians and educators.
