Environment Ministries
Coalition for the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL)
Seeks to expand the contemporary understanding of such Jewish values as tikkun olam (repairing the world) and tzedek (justice) to include the protection of both people and other species from environmental degradation.
Earth's Ministry
Partners with congregations and individuals to mobilize the Christian community to play a leadership role in building a just and sustainable future through education, individual and congregational lifestyle choices, and organizing for social change through environmental advocacy.
Evangelical Environmental Network
Is a non-profit organization that seeks to educate, inspire, and mobilize Christians in their effort to care for God's creation, to be faithful stewards of God's provision, and to advocate for actions and policies that honor God and protect the environment.
Eco-Justice Ministries
Is an independent, ecumenical agency that helps churches develop ministries that are faithful, relevant and effective in working toward social justice and environmental stability.
Forum for Religion and Ecology
Uses conferences, publications and a website to explore religious worldviews, texts, and ethics in order to broaden understanding of the complex nature of current environmental concerns.
Greater Washington Interfaith Power and Light (GWIPL)
Helps congregations, religious institutions and others in the Washington, DC, area work for a more just, sustainable and healthier creation by reducing the threat of global warming.
GreenFaith
Inspires, educates and mobilizes people of diverse spiritual backgrounds to deepen their relationship with nature and to take action for the earth. This New Jersey-based interfaith coalition offers a comprehensive education and training program to prepare lay and ordained leaders from diverse religious traditions for religiously based environmental leadership.
InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington
Brings together people of different religions, economic levels and races to deepen understanding for diverse traditions and to build a community.
U.S. Catholic Conference
Promotes the greater good which the Church offers humankind, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place.
National Council of Churches of Christ Eco-Justice Programs
Provides opportunities for the national bodies of member Protestant and Orthodox denominations to work together to protect and restore God’s Creation. Resources provided for including a focus on the environment in worship and about buying eco-friendly palms for Palm Sunday services.
Environmental Stewardship of National Episcopal Church
Assists the Church to advocate and articulate for protection of the environment and preserving the sanctity of creation.
FEAST: Faith, Environment, Action, Science, Technology
Offers materials and reflections on the intersections of faith and the sciences from the Episcopal News Service.
Forum on Religion and Ecology Highlights the important roles that religions play in constructing moral frameworks for interacting with other people and the environment.
National Religious Partnership for the Environment
Seeks to encourage people of faith to weave values and programs of care for God's creation throughout the entire fabric of religious life.
Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life
Promotes a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs.
Web of Creation
Provides information about eco-justice and support for efforts to live, work and pray in ways to promote eco-justice.
