ENVIRONMENT
The Environment Committee members share a concern about the cataclysmic global impacts of human activities on the natural environment, and a vision that celebrates the hope for the restoration of God's Creation. The mission of the Committee is to help church members (1) discern, from both a spiritual and a scientific point of view, the imperative of caring for the environment, the theology of environmental protection, and the human role in the Creation, and (2) take actions to improve the human condition and the natural environment of God's Creation.

Go Green With Us!
The Environment Committee is seeking new volunteers who have:

  • Interest in environmental issues facing individuals, parishes and the wider community as part of our responsibility to be good stewards of God's creation.
  • Desire to help foster positive individual and organizational change.
  • Interest in ensuring a broad representation from parishes throughout the Diocese.
  • Willingness to help disseminate information within their region.
  • Drive to help with logistics for events sponsored by the committee.

Please contact Ann Talty at Church House atalty@edow.org or (202)537-6548 to discuss this opportunity, or contact the chair, .
