From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
At its Convention in 2016, the Diocese voted to organize itself into a new structure that includes eight geographic regions to better represent the mission fields of the diocese. At the 2020 Convention, ten regional deans were commissioned to provide a greater diocesan presence in each region of the diocese, help strengthen relationships, and foster collaborative efforts between congregations.
In 2021, diocesan leadership recognized the need for a dean who would regularly gather the chaplains of the diocese for collegiality, collaboration, and continued learning and commissioned a dean for chaplains.
The regional deans and the dean of chaplains are appointed to two-year terms by the Bishop and serve as adjunct members of diocesan staff, reporting directly to the Canon for Congregational Vitality.
