MINISTRY FORMATION

GENESIS PROGRAM

The Genesis Program provides an opportunity for collegial connection and support, diocesan resource information dissemination, and leadership skill development for clergy new to the Diocese of Washington or in new calls in the diocese. The program has received positive feedback from participants over the last several years and diocesan staff are constantly evaluating the program to meet the needs of the participants.

Genesis participants meet for 6 monthly 3-hour sessions during the program year and are engaged in plenary discussions addressing various topics of ministerial leadership and small breakout cohort groups based upon specific ministerial roles and responsibilities.  Within cohort groups, participants identify primary goals for the program year and align those goals with specific essential functions of their current job description.

If you have any questions regarding the Genesis Program, please contact The Rev. Dr. Robert Phillips or the Rev. Dr. Anne-Marie Jeffery.
