Join the Crummell-Cooper UBE Chapter as we celebrate the first African American Episcopal priest, Absalom Jones. “Resurrection” is the theme of this African-centered and spirit-filled service. The Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of Washington, will be the celebrant. The Rev. Ricardo Sheppard, rector, The Episcopal Church of the Atonement (DC), will be the preacher. Following the service, there will be a reception. If you love to sing, there will also be a mass choir.
