Jason Max Ferdinand—conductor, composer, professor, and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Maryland, College Park—had a dream: to promote and showcase Black excellence through choral music of all styles while advocating for inclusion, diversity, and unity within our various societies throughout the world. So he created the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers, a Black ensemble of exceptional talents. The group has established itself both domestically and internationally as a premier professional choir. With members from over ten states, the ensemble consists of a wide range of professionals, from award-winning artists and singers, to lawyers and college professors.
Join us for a performance of the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers at St. John’s Norwood on Saturday, March 9, starting at 7:30 pm. The evening will include a meet-the-artists reception.
As part of our parish’s 150th anniversary celebration, this concert is free and open to the public.
