Social Justice Day – Diocese of Maryland

The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland and the Lutheran Office for Public Policy (in the Delaware-Maryland Synod) are inviting EDOW congregation members who live or worship in Maryland to join this event in hopes of future collaboration for a more just world.

We will gather to worship, reflect on the Gospel imperatives as they relate to our activity in the public arena, and hear stories from those whose lives are adversely impacted by environmental degradation and systemic racism as it manifests itself in education, health care, housing and our judicial system. And, we will hear from advocates and state representatives about potential legislative solutions and what we can do to assist in the legislative process. This event is a joint effort by the Maryland Episcopal Public Policy Network (EDOM) and the Lutheran Office for Public Policy, Maryland (Delaware-Maryland Synod).
