Christ Church Kensington invites you to Theology on Tap. A monthly meet-up for young adults with conversations at the intersection of faith, life, and the world we live in. For our first event in this series the topic will focus on the question “how does community give meaning to our lives”? Appetizers will be provided. No RSVP is necessary. All are welcome!

Juneteenth and Kickoff to Summer Celebration

St. George’s is hosting a celebration of Juneteenth and a kickoff to summer. There will be games, arts and crafts, prizes, a DC Fire Truck on site, and a DC MPD police car on site. Mike’s music will join us leading toddlers in song. We will also have DC Library with Juneteenth Education and stories. There will also be someone leading seniors in stretching and light exercise. Food includes hotdogs, chips, popsicles, and popcorn. All are welcome. Please join us.

Historic 1736 Christ Church in Chaptico, Maryland will have its 29th Strawberry Festival and Bazaar on ***SUNDAY*** May 21st, 2023 from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. at their parish hall on Zach Fowler Road. The menu includes Strawberry Shortcake with “The Works” – Ice Cream, Strawberry pies, Strawberry Desserts and Mike’s Barbecue with all the trimmings. Visit with quality Artists and Crafters. There will be Live Music all day by The Bushmill Band and the Patuxent Rounders. So. MD Bootscooters will perform at 1:30pm. All funds raised will help support local charities in St. Mary’s County. The Parish Hall is located at 37497 Zach Fowler Rd. off of Rt. 234 in the Village of Chaptico. EDOW Pride Parade Contingent

Join us in celebrating Pride! Come march with us, show your love and embrace, which is a reflection of God’s. This year’s Pride Parade is on Saturday, June 10. All interested congregations and Episcopal communities are invited to unite under the diocesan banner and march together. All EDOW marchers should plan to meet at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (1514 15th St. NW, Washington, DC) at 1:45 PM for a brief prayer and instructions before heading to the parade staging area together.

We invite you to find respite at Claggett. Join fellow clergy from both dioceses to connect, rest, and renew.
There will be no formal agenda to this retreat. We invite you to come and be still.

Rest, relaxation, and connection with peers from the Dioceses of Maryland and Washington, and enjoy a special 1-hour presentation where we will share Claggett updates, including new equity offerings during summer camp, wedding details, and preparing for the opening of The Delaplaine Barn.

Clergy may register for free, and spouses and partners are invited to join ($132 for a plus one.)
