Concert by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC

As a community that welcomes diversity, St. John’s Norwood will host a concert by two ensembles of the acclaimed Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC.

Potomac Fever and Seasons of Love will each perform for 45 minutes with one intermission between sets. Potomac Fever is an a cappella group specializing in contemporary pop, crowd-pleasers, and Broadway songs. Seasons of Love is an inspirational group, singing sacred, pop, and R&B in the Gospel style. The performance will be followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.

Brought to you as part of St. John’s Norwood’s 150th Anniversary celebration, this concert is FREE, but please register at stjohnsnorwood.eventbrite.com. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door!

Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington invites you to its 37th annual Gala, The Arc of Change: Celebrating Next Steps East of the River, on Saturday November 4th at the the Town Hall Education Art Recreation Campus (THEARC) West. The Gala takes place from 5:30 to 8:30pm and includes a cocktail reception, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, annual awards, and plenty of onsite parking. Juneteenth and Kickoff to Summer Celebration

St. George’s is hosting a celebration of Juneteenth and a kickoff to summer. There will be games, arts and crafts, prizes, a DC Fire Truck on site, and a DC MPD police car on site. Mike’s music will join us leading toddlers in song. We will also have DC Library with Juneteenth Education and stories. There will also be someone leading seniors in stretching and light exercise. Food includes hotdogs, chips, popsicles, and popcorn. All are welcome. Please join us.
