All youth (grades 6-12) are welcome to attend an overnight lock-in on the cathedral close in Washington, DC from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday. Community building games and activities like visits to the National Cathedral’s altar of repose and the Bishop’s Garden during the night will help youth explore the meaning of Holy Week and the importance of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The lock-in begins at 8:30 PM on April 6 in Satterlee Hall at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, where the Youth will stay the night. Pick-up is at 8:30 AM on April 7. Snacks and a light breakfast will be provided. Youth must bring a sleeping bag and all personal overnight accessories. The event is free. Registration is required.
