Performance: The Children of Willesden Lane

Washington National Cathedral welcomes Washington Hebrew Congregation, the USC Shoah Foundation, and Hold On To Your Music Foundation as they host the internationally acclaimed theatrical show — “The Children of Willesden Lane.”

The one-woman theatrical performance features concert pianist Mona Golabek and is adapted from her best-selling book of the same name. The Grammy-nominated artist uses music to tell her mother’s inspiring story of survival as a teenage Austrian Jewish refugee who pursued her own dream of becoming a pianist. The Los Angeles Times calls the performance “a triumph.”

This event will be free and open to the public. No registration is required. Free copies of The Children of Willesden Lane will be distributed to the first 300 attendees.
