Young Adult Compline-in-the-Park (Malcolm X / Meridian Hill)

Connect with young adults from around the diocese for a discussion on faith and spirituality in Meridian Hill / Malcom X Park (16th St NW & W St NW). Following opportunity for reflection and sharing, our gathering will close with a brief, said service of Compline.

Whether deeply rooted in parish community or unaffiliated, all young adults are welcome to join. Bring a blanket, potluck snacks to share (as able!), and a Book of Common Prayer.

Compline, or Night Prayer, is a simple prayer office bringing the waking day to its completion. Alongside time for quietness and reflection, the liturgy includes prayers for God’s protection through the night ahead (BCP, p. 127).
