Connect with young adults from around the diocese for a discussion on faith and spirituality in Rose Park (2459 P St NW). Following opportunity for reflection and sharing, our gathering will close with a brief, said service of Compline.
Whether deeply rooted in parish community or unaffiliated, all young adults are welcome to join. Bring a blanket, potluck snacks to share (as able!), and a Book of Common Prayer.
Compline, or Night Prayer, is a simple prayer office bringing the waking day to its completion. Alongside time for quietness and reflection, the liturgy includes prayers for God’s protection through the night ahead (BCP, p. 127).
Compline-in-the-Park is part of EDOW’s 20s & 30s Summer Series; sign-up for the Young Adult Episcopalians email listserv for other fellowship and formation opportunities. Contact the Rev. David Potter for more information.
